Book Reading at Langside Library with Glasgow Life

I was delighted to be asked to do a book reading with questions and answers for Glasgow life: Langside Library. Alison from the library asked me some very thought provoking questions which really helped the audience to understand the why and the how of my book writing journey.

It took me almost 4years to write this book taking me on a very deep personal journey of reflection and healing. For me this book was always about sending a message of hope, I always felt that if only one person read this story and felt inspired or hopeful then that is all that I could possibly ask for. The book was only ever written to meet the hearts of those with who resonated with the story and the experiences shared.

The Rebel Justice Podcast

Last year I was delighted to have been selected to write a submission based on my novel 'The White Dove' for The View Magazine. The editor liked my writing so much that she published both of my submissions, you will find my submissions in article 12 (released 23.1.25) The View Magazine is a wonderful magazine focussing on social justice articles for women. Do support their fabulous work by subscribing and following them on Instagram the_view_magazines.

As part of the 16 days of Violence against Women in November 2024, Amina and Glasgow Womens Library in Glasgow asked to read an extract for the audience at their event. It was a highly emotional event with many brave and courageous women and survivors sharing their personal stories. To be a part of this event was an honour especially as I got a surprise visit from my dad. I have to say I was a little nervous to share an extract from my book with him sitting in the audience, but he was so proud of me.
