Peri-Menopause

Do I hear you scream?

My journey into the wonderful phase of my life called the ‘peri menopause’ I hear you all scream. Well I did scream when I first embarked on this chapter of my life 4 years ago and now…well now I embrace this phase fully! Often called the crone phase which follows the maiden and motherhood phase. So now, I love and appreciate myself for the wisdom that my body carries. Do you realise how much of an honour it is to get to this place in your life? Many do not and have not survived this phase, this age. Sit with that first.

But I hear you say…my body is going through some mad changes and I can’t manage life anymore, it is too hard and I can’t cope. This is all true and you should accept all of these feelings and thoughts with nothing but compassion, this is your first step.

I have to mention are you not glad that we are moving into an era where all of this is recognised and there is so much information out there for us to tap into. There are medical advisors, coaches, trained Dua’s ready to support you through this journey.

But let me tell you how I got to this place of self -acceptance and compassion for this chapter of my life.

4 years ago my symptoms began with heavy uncontrollable bleeding. I am talking soaked bedsheets, pure dripping blood! My hair was thinning, I was tired, full of anxiety and my migraines were getting considerably worse.  As I have always been a person who looks deeper and tries to find alternative approaches, so I started with addressing my nutrition which is what led me to looking at my nutrition and gut health (there is a blog on that so do read that) this was my first step. My next step was to address all of my limiting beliefs around the ‘change’ all of that negative self talk that sounded like criticism and fear of getting old. So I reframed all of that using EFT and some biohacking tools.

My last but most profound step was the ancient wisdom of the Tao, and I have to say I stumbled upon this without the thought that it would change my life for the better.

I learned about the Tao or Dao from an ancient master who taught me the wisdom of Universal Healing Tao. I learned about breast massage techniques, organ cleansing and the magic of Yoni health.  I also learned about the beauty of self-touch and massage from my friend Laura who led me into my journey of Tao Tantra, which further led me into the world of Tantra and sensuality. Armed with all of this new and old knowledge teamed with my own ancient Indian practices I was ready to help myself.

The breast massage also known as the Deer massage had profound effects and balancing effects on my hormones and transformed by monthly cycle. I combined this with my existing knowledge of pranayama and yoga to further deepen my healing journey.

To this day I have committed to breast massage, yoni health, pranayama and yoga to keep my body in balance. I am still a peri-menopausal woman but I am moving with grace into this phase of my life. I am not symptom free but do much better than I was 4years ago.

I have loads of videos and tips on my Instagram so do follow me there to check out this material.
