Curly Hair Cure

at Medusa Hair Salon

Well this is not my normal type of blog and I rarely big up or promote anything on here, but I had to give a huge shout out to the team at Medusa Hair Salon in Edinburgh. 

Being a curly haired girl my journey embracing my curly hair has not been an easy one. So let me tell you about my recent visit to Medusa Hair Salon in Edinburgh. 

On entering the salon I was met with a flurry of activity and a buzz of conversation. Craig (who I now call the curly hair guru) met me with a smile at the door and welcomed me in. The ambience of the salon was chic and refined and there was coffee on tap..result! 

As soon as I sat in the chair I knew I was in the presence of experts, within moments and after a consultation they had my hair all figured out. I was given golden nuggets of wisdom that I was totally unaware of and the team seemed to just know and understand my hair and the struggles I faced. They went on to discuss curl types and condition, I was educated on how to care for my hair and that the key is ‘cleansing’ and keeping your scalp in good health. 

I was met with so many compliments ‘You have such Diana Ross hair’ ‘Your curl is beautiful’ ‘Your hair is life’ said the stylists. I have never really found the adjectives to describe my unruly hair and the ones I did use were more than often steering more on the self deprecating side, but these guys made me feel like a diva and I found a rare moment of self-acceptance and love for my hair. 

The knowledge and expertise found here was profound and I came away with a mindset shift, and feeling like a new person and of course that is what it is all truly about. What is on the inside reflects on the outside.

How we view ourselves is so important which is why self investment is key to our mind, body and soul. Our self-perception is what creates our reality and when we find self acceptance, we find love and that is when we glow inside and out.  

I have the Medusa team to thank for the mindset shift and for beautiful hair, so a big thank you to the big chief Colin (an assumption, he may not be the boss but certainly had that vibe), Craig (the curly hair guru), Kate and forgive me if I forgot to mention your name if you were working on my hair.

You were all amazing.
